THIS IS THE STORY OF A GIRL Riley whistled softly to herself, headed on foot across the grounds from her office to the stallion barn. The day was bright and the sun was as high noon and it was time for Vivid Night (affectionately known as Max) to come in from the pastures. She had already brought Lost my Socks (Caramel) in from the main pastures though Into the Wind was still munching grass in the broodmare pastures. It was a lot of work marching between the three barns in which her brood were kept in but Riley wouldn't have it any other way. While it was true that she could have easily relied on her staff to look after her horses, there was a part of her that loved to get away from all of her work and just spend a little time with her horses off of the training field. They were her friends and deserved a little love too.
Riley circled around the back of the barn, slipping in for a moment to fetch Max's green and white lead rope fro the edge of his stall and then back out to the pasture. She whistled to the dark bay horse who came trotting up at her call, snorting and shaking his head. She jumped the fence and clipped the rope to his halter, leading him out of the gate and into the cool shade of the barn. WORDS 233

just a dream . .
it was hard not being home all the time. he knew his father struggled with keeping up on things and noah was his oldest, but he had a brother and a sister that could help out for now. working out at foxtail was a good job and he had a good position. noah wasn't about to turn it down. he loved working with horses and he especially liked working the big bad stallions. not really as big and bad as some people might think though. his own two stallions were there in the stallion barn in which he worked, bound for malibu but max for short and show must go on, known as tommy. he was actually in tommy's stallion giving him some fresh water as he has just finished cleaning stalls for the day.
noah stood, just fnishing by closing the stall and leaning against, his hand in rubbing tommy's neck. the young man was wearing a grey t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and his blue jeans and boots. he hoped his dress didn't affend anyone. noah was a hard worker and get things done but he liked to wear clothes that he wouldn't die of heat exhaustion. don't get him wrong, he was not a hill billy and wore these all the time. no, noah rode english, and could clean up might fine. today was just one of those days, where someone would be unlucky to find him dressed in the slums. but honestly, it didn't bug him.
noah finished in the barn and was walking out when he saw riley. he gave her a smile and a wave and headed over to her. "hello miss riley. did ya need some help with max?" noah never forget her stallions name because he had the same barn name as his own horse. he gave her a smile and walked along beside her for now. noah knew the woman could handle her own with the big horses but he wanted to be polite. it was his job to handle the stallions anyway, might as well ask.

THIS IS THE STORY OF A GIRL Max shuffled along behind Riley, seeming a bit put out for being brought in from his pasture where the sweet grass was. He decided the best way to show his displeasure, without causing any true harm was to lip at his rider's hair from behind and mess with her. He so knew how it bugged her when he mussed her hair. Riley turned around and shoot her stallion a look that clearly said "behave" and the big horse went quiet, like a child scored, but there was light in his spring green eyes that told her he'd soon recover and be back at his antics.
She turned around as a sound caught her ears, and Maxs as well as he picked up his bay head to look at the source. He nickered as Riley returned his smile and wave as it had been Noah, her manager that ran this particular barn and she chuckled as he came trotting up, Max craning his head to try and get a friendly nuzzle in. "We're doing just fine."[b/] she replied to him. "But you're welcome to come along. I was just about to groom and put Max up for the afternoon to get him out of the sun for a bit. [/i] she continued with a smile, leading the bay to the cross ties. [/blockquote] [/div] TEMPLATE BY WE WERE INFINITE ! OF CAUTIO 2.0 [/center]
